The Packers 2013 theme is...Submitted: 07/29/2013
Story By Marisa Silvas

GREEN BAY - After a successful first weekend of training camp, the Packers have the day off today. They might be using this time to think about their theme for the upcoming season.

Every year, coach Mike McCarthy puts a great deal of thought into developing a motivational theme.

In 2010, he placed an empty picture frame on the wall next to photos of the Packers' previous 12 NFL champions.

Then after winning the Super Bowl came the slogan that the defending champs weren't the hunted, they were still the hunters.

So what theme did McCarthy present to this years group? "Protection, connection and reflection."

McCarthy also showed the players a video to help drive home the point and Aaron Rodgers said it was very effective.
