Antigo, Merrill hosting baseball tournaments
ANTIGO, MERRILL - There is plenty of baseball in the Northwoods this weekend.

Antigo is hosting a big Little League tournament. 32 teams in 6 divisions. The kids are between 9 and 15 years old.

Among the games Saturday, in the 11U bracket. Antigo faced Wittenburg-Birnamwood. Wittenberg-Birnamwood won 16-0 in 5 innings.

Championships to be played Sunday. Action gets underway at 830am.

In Legion Baseball, Merrill is hosting the regional tournament at Athletic Park.

Rhinelander faced Merrill in the semifinals.

Merrill won 8-4. Antigo would defeat the Rebels in an elimination game.

Merrill will face Antigo for the championships. First pitch Sunday night at 5pm.

According to a press release from the Forest County Sheriff's Office, jail staff found the man shortly after 6:30 a.m.

CRANDON - A jury found a Crandon woman guilty Wednesday of trying to sneak narcotics into the Forest County Jail. 

Patricia Kirker was found guilty on all five felonies. 

The jury made its decision in less than an hour.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced the quarantine will take effect March 30th.

MINNEAPOLIS - Bail has been cut from $500,000 to $400,000 for a fired Minneapolis police officer charged with murder in the shooting of an unarmed Australian woman.

Mohamed Noor made his first court appearance Wednesday in the July death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond. Damond, who had called 911 to report a possible sexual assault behind her home.
