MERRILL - This past week has been pretty hot, but that didn't stop Northwood residents from enjoying the Lincoln County Fair in Merrill today.

Sounds of pure enjoyment were at the Lincoln County Fair.

"It's a fun experience to go once a year." said ten year old, Tehya Street.

"The alien tea cup is the funnest ride I went on yet. It keeps you cool." seven year old Dawson Street said.

"It's fun whether hot or not." ten year old, Isaiah Shahian said.

But it was Hot.

Owner of Custom design heating and cooling, Josh Hipke comes to the fair every year.

He says this heat wave has increased his customers.

"It takes a lot to stay comfortable when it gets 90 degrees outside and things don't do well when in the heat like that," said Hipke.

"So things tend to breakdown more and people just say they've had enough of being uncomfortable and they want the air conditioning. This time of the year."

But if your kids like these, would rather be outside enjoying the rides, they need to stay hydrated.

"Stay hydrated, drink lots of water and find as much shade as I can." Isaiah said.

Even though it was hot outside, a fair-goer said something else was more important.

"It's just another time to spend with your family. It's nice to do that and I just really enjoy it." said nine year old, Issa Shahian.
