BREAKING: Gogebic armed security leaves town, failed to get permitsSubmitted: 07/10/2013
Story By Lyndsey Stemm

MELLEN - Yesterday we told you Gogebic Taconite hired armed guards to watch over the site of the proposed iron ore mine. Bulletproof Security is the company they hired.

Newswatch 12's Adam Fox was in Mellen today to talk to protesters. Just a few moments ago, he saw Bulletproof's armored vehicles leaving town.

Bulletproof Security didn't file for the proper permits to operate in Wisconsin. Gogebic has confirmed this, but no word yet on whether Gogebic plans to have Bulletproof apply for those permits and bring them back to the site.

We'll have more information as it becomes available.
