Antigo Baseball's Season Ends in Sectional FinalSubmitted: 06/06/2013

HOWARD, WI - Rain caused several area baseball teams to wait before playing in sectionals.

In Division One, Antigo was in the semifinals Thursday.

It was at Bay Port high School, just north of Green Bay.

The Red Robins faced Ashwaubenon.

In the top of the 2nd, Antigo's Bryce Chrudimsky hit a nice drive deep to left field, scoring Rob Bastle. It gave Antigo a 1-0 lead.


In the 3rd inning, Antigo tacked on two more. Blake Kirsch with base hit to center, 2-runs scored. It made it 3-0 Antigo.

In the bottom of the 4th, Ashwaubenon's Zak Imig sent a drive off the top of the fence, and drive in a run.

Antigo led 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th. Ashwaubenon would tie it to force extra innings.

Red Robins would win a long one 5-4 in 10 innings.

However Antigo was shutout by Bay Port in the final. 10-0 in 5 innings. Antigo's season ends with a (19-4) record.
