Mock Trial Team Returns from NationalsSubmitted: 05/16/2013
Story By Lex Gray

RHINELANDER - Rhinelander may be a small town, but its mock trial team can argue with the biggest and best.

The team competed in nationals last week.

They flew to Indianapolis for the competition.

Amber Sheth has also been in plays and went to conference for tennis this year, but this trip was a whole new level of performance.

"Nationals was one of the most amazing competitions I've ever participated in," she said. "Aside from being able to meet different people from all over the U.S., and the world, it was just really fun performing. I felt that as a team, we had our best performance at nationals."

Amber and her teammate Lydia O'Brien are the only juniors on the team.

Their five other teammates are seniors.

That means they're almost starting from scratch next year, but Lydia isn't worried.

"We saw how good we were on a national level, so that was really cool," she said. "I would love to go back to nationals next year. I think the team can do it, but we have to work hard. We need to be a team."

The team placed 24th out of 48 teams from across the country.
