Child finds soda bottle full of meth in U.P. parkSubmitted: 05/08/2013
Story By Lane Kimble

IRON RIVER, MI - Parks should be places our children can play safely. Finding a soda bottle filled with meth in a park? Doesn't sound very safe.

That happened in two separate spots Wednesday in Iron River, Michigan.

An eight-year-old child found a burst soda bottle with an unknown liquid in it at Bachman Park around 11:30 Wednesday morning.

Police found four other bottles filled with the same liquid at another nearby Iron River park. Narcotic specialists analyzed the bottles and found they contained methamphetamines.

The 8-year-old child was not hurt.

Michigan State Troopers will investigate the drugs.
