TOMAHAWK - It takes kids a long time to save up hundreds of dollars.

Time and dedication.

One Northwoods Boy Scout Troop proved they have plenty of both tonight honoring a veteran with money for an Honor Flight trip.

Boy Scout Troop 548 of Tomahawk presented a certificate to veteran Jim Lik-warz at American Legion Post 93.

The troop also presented a check to Jim Campbell of the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.

Likwarz had no idea this was happening tonight.

"This is a very big surprise and an honor they asked me to be here tonight and I had no reason why," Likwarz said.

"It's quiet a surprise, pleasant surprise and an honor."

Likwarz also was sponsored by 4th and 5th grade Tomahawk Middle School.
