WOODRUFF - You eat them at the ballpark; roast them over a campfire.

And now hot dog lovers can rejoice that a Northwoods hot dog shack is finally open.

Hoggie Doggies Snack Shack in Woodruff opened for the season last week.
They've been serving up hot dogs, french fries, ice cream and more since 2003.

The stand usually opens up in April, but Mother Nature had a different idea this year.

"We're excited to be open, we're really looking forward to seeing our repeat customers and now that the sun is shining everybody's out and excited to be here," said Lisa Ottoson of Hoggie Doggies.

Lisa says they look forward to seeing families come back year after year.

And once in a while four generations of Hoggie Doggie workers can be found in the kitchen

"My mom Judi Rossi is the owner, I'm her daughter and my two daughters, Megan and Ellie work here. And my grandma, my mom's mom comes and visits once in a while so we do have four generations," said Ottoson.

Hoggie Doggie's is located on hwy 47 in Minocqua.
