Grass Fire in Merrill Delays TrafficSubmitted: 04/30/2013

MERRILL - A grass fire in Merrill slowed commuters down this afternoon.

Traffic was backed up for more than a hour on Forest Drive and Highway 107.

Both lanes were shut down. The Merrill Fire Department says the fire started around 5 P-M and lasted for about an hour.

No one was injured. About half an acre of grass was burned.

We don't know yet what caused the fire. The Wisconsin DNR is investigating.
