MERRILL - A woman from the Merrill area seems to have disappeared without a trace. Friday evening, Mark Bucki reported his wife Anita missing.

He said they were awake talking until early Friday morning, and when he woke up at 5 a.m., she was gone.

She left without anything-- Her purse, car, and cell phone were still at the home. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office wouldn't confirm if they suspect foul play.

"We certainly want to rule out that there is that possibility. Until we do so I guess we treat it as a true missing persons case. If leads are developed that suggest otherwise then the nature of the case may change."

Anita Bucki is described as 5 feet tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. She recently lost a significant amount of weight. They believe she weighs between 120 and 150 pounds.

The Sheriff's Office also would not confirm whether she has any medical issues that could have caused her to wander off.

They found no trace of footprints or any evidence in the land around her house.

They're asking anyone with information or who might have seen Anita Bucki to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
