Suspect in Triple Killing Did Not Know VictimsSubmitted: 04/29/2013

LAFAYETTE COUNTY - The man arrested for a triple murder in Layfayette County apparently did not know the victims.

Waukesha Police Lt. Tom Wagner says the man was arrested Sunday afternoon without incident.

He has sinced been turned over to Lafayette County.

Wagner says the man is wanted for questioning in the deaths of three people found in a house near South Wayne earlier Sunday.

The Layfayette County Sheriff's department issued an alert for a missing pickup truck registered to one of the victims.

The pickup was found at an apartment building in Waukesha and the man was arrested.

Police have not yet provided the names of the victims, how they died or a possible motive.

SHAWANO - A minivan hit and killed a construction worker in Shawano County Tuesday.

30-year-old Derek Stempa of Shawano had been flagging traffic.

68-year-old Dennis St. John of Hurley was driving the minivan when he struck Stempa.

The Shawano County Highway Department had been doing road work in the area.

That's on Highway 47 near the Menominee Indian Reservation.

Woman drowns in Marathon CountySubmitted: 05/26/2015

EDGAR - Marathon County authorities say a woman has died from drowning in a pool in Edgar in central Wisconsin.

Lt. Tim Burkholder of the Marathon County Sheriff's Department says it happened some time after midnight Monday.

 While the investigation is ongoing, he says the drowning appears to be accidental.

 The department is withholding the victim's name and other details for now.
