Lawmakers Want Tuition Freeze at University of WisconsinSubmitted: 04/25/2013
Story By Associated Press

MADISON - Democrats and Republicans don't agree on much these days, but members of both parties want the University of Wisconsin System to freeze tuition.

That includes including 414-million in surplus tuition dollars.

Republicans are questioning how the Board of Regents could justify raising tuition for six straight years in light of the massive reserves.

Republicans have vowed to freeze tuition in the upcoming state budget.

Democratic legislative leaders called the surplus unjustifiable.

They are asking the U. W. regents to freeze tuition for two years.
