Rhinelander River Street repave possibile with leftover moneySubmitted: 04/24/2013
Story By Lane Kimble

RHINELANDER - A bumpy stretch of River Street in Rhinelander could get a makeover this year, but only if there's enough money left over from another project.

Oneida County will pave 6 miles of Highway Y near the Lincoln County line this summer.

If there's money left over, about a half mile of River Street - from highway 47 to Lois Street - will get repaved.

It's possible they'll go with the cheaper half-inch chip seal. That would extend the life of the road five years.

The County would prefer a full inch and a half repave. That would last more than a decade.

We'll know if the River Street project will happen by late August.
