Rhinelander's White Headed to Bemidji St. (MN)Submitted: 04/17/2013
Story By Joe Dufek

RHINELANDER - Rhinelander senior Shane White has decided where he's going to play college basketball.

The Hodag signed Monday afternoon with Bemidji State out of Minnesota.

Bemidji State is a Division 2 Program. Other colleges White considered included Chadron State (NE), and UW-LaCrosse.

White was the Great Northern Conference's Co-Player of the Year. He averaged 15.1 points per game in conference play. He was also first in blocked shots and second in steals.

For Shane, location, plus pursing a career in Physical Therapy led to signing with Bemidji State.

Bemidji tried to reach White for some time. However, they didn't have the right phone number. They finally caught up with White. The rest is history.
