Mixed results in DNR vote on TrollingSubmitted: 04/09/2013
Story By Joe Dufek

- Late Tuesday, the DNR released a summary of the vote held at the Spring Fish and Wildlife Hearings from Monday.

One of the biggest issues among the 99 voted on was the question of allowing trolling state-wide. According to the DNR's results, a majority of the voters state-wide rejected the measure. 2391 voted for it vs. 2775 against it.

However, more counties approved the proposal, than rejected it by a 44-27 margin. One county's vote ended in a tie.

Other results include voters approving the elimination of Northern Bass catch and release season, allowing the use of rifles for state-wide deer hunting, and allowing the use of dogs during the wolf hunt.
