Bicyclist Killed in Wisconsin RapidsSubmitted: 04/07/2013

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - A bicyclist died yesterday afternoon, after being hit by a car in Wisconsin Rapids.

The crash happened on 8th Street South at Pepper Avenue.

The 41-year-old bicyclist was taken to Riverview Hospital. He later died from severe injuries.

The 75-year-old driver of the car was not injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police don't believe alcohol or speed were factors.

The name of the victim and driver haven't been released.

TOWN OF MAPLE GROVE, WI - Federal aviation officials say a pilot has died in the crash of a helicopter in Manitowoc County.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the MD-369E chopper crashed near Reedsville Wednesday morning. The Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department says the pilot was the only one on board and was helping install transmission lines.
