Husband returns home to find house on fire, body insideSubmitted: 03/28/2013

CRYSTAL FALLS, MI - Imagine coming home from work late at night to find your home on fire and your wife inside. That happened early Thursday morning in the U.P.

Crews responded to a home on Lind Road in Crystal Falls -- that's about five miles east of Iron River.

The house was completely on fire when they got there at 12:50 a.m. Homeowner Douglas Takala called it in when he got home from work.

Firefighters found a body inside. They believe it is Douglas' wife, 58-year-old Sandra Takala.

We don't know what caused that fire yet. The Iron County Sheriff's Department and WE Energies helped at the scene.
