Wausau West wins Merrill Girls Track Quad. Submitted: 03/19/2013

MERRILL - The Hodag girls track team opened the year in Merrill on Tuesday.

Wausau West won the quadangular with 103.5 points.

Edgar was second with 74. Merrill collected 48.5 points for a third place finish. Rhinelander was fourth with 25.

Individual results include Marisa Matushak winning both the 1600 and 800 meter runs for Wausau West. Merrill won the 900 meter Relay, and Rhinelander's Taylor Wissbroecker took the girls high jump.

Rhinelander boys begin the year in Merrill on Thursday.
