Court Fight Over Collective BargainingSubmitted: 03/13/2013
Story By Associated Press

MADISON - Governor Scott Walker's move to end collective bargaining for many public workers set off huge protests.

Now the fight has moved to the courts.

Last year a circuit court ruling overturned the law as it pertained to school and local government workers.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen wanted the 4th District Court of Appeals to keep the law in effect while an appeal is pending.

The appeals court refused to do that in a decision released yesterday.

A circuit court had decided a stay was not needed-

The appeals court says it sees no basis to set aside the circuit court's decision.

Van Hollen's spokeswoman Dana Brueck calls the decision disappointing.
