Newman Catholic Headed to StateSubmitted: 03/09/2013

WAUPACA - For the ladies... one more win and they punch their tickets to state.

Newman Catholic faced Hilbert in Waupaca. The Fighting Cardinals were looking for their 4th straight trip to state.

1st quarter- Newman in White and they're runnin' Kimberly Steif with the finish. Newman with the lead after the first.


2nd quarter- Steif gets the steal to Madison Tubbs. Tubbs finished with a dozen points... Fighting Cardinals led by 13 at the break.

3rd quarter- Abigail Connolly with the steal, some quick passing and Steif with the finish... She scored a game-high 18 points.

Newman Catholic takes their 4th straight sectional, winning 60-32.
