U.P. Troopers arrest Wakefield couple for drugsSubmitted: 03/05/2013
Story By Lane Kimble

WAKEFIELD, MI - Police in the U.P. arrested two people for something they didn't intend to in the first place Tuesday.

Michigan State troopers were serving felony property destruction warrants on a man and woman near Wakefield.

They arrested the woman right away, but she said the man they wanted was not home.

Troopers heard a noise upstairs. They found the man hiding in the attic.

After arresting him, Troopers found a hidden room with marijuana growing equipment.

The two suspects are being held in the Ontonagon County Jail pending possible drug charges.
