Landmark Minocqua Restaurant Will Reopen DoorsSubmitted: 03/05/2013
Story By Shardaa Gray

MINOCQUA - A Minocqua landmark shut its doors last week, but the restaurant long known as "Bosacki's Boathouse" will reopen soon with new ownership.

Matt Morgan's Bar and Restaurant filed for bankruptcy last year.

Northwoods Equity Investments bought the property, and now they have a new partner.

Managing Partner, Harlan Accola, says this property is more than a piece of real estate.

"This is an icon of the Northwoods and has been since 1917," said Accola.

"We know that this has the potential to create some incredible great memories."

Gary Ruschmeyer and his wife Sue Mary are thrilled to be in Minocqua.

They're honored to be apart of the historical building.

"This is not only a tribute to the past ownership, but reflects the character of the building and what we'd like to bring it back to." Ruschmeyer said.

The new name will be "Boat House".

They will reopen the restaurant in about a month.
