Rhinelander, Prentice falls in Sectional SemifinalsSubmitted: 02/28/2013

WAUSAU - Sectionals semis were played Thursday night. Everyone just two games away from a trip to Madison. That's where the state tourney will be played next week.

In Divsion 2, Rhinelander faced Hortonville at Wausau West high School. It was a rematch of last year's regional final. The Hodags won that one.

However, Rhinelander could not repeat that outcome. The Hodags fell to Hortonville 50-43. Mitch Reinthaler led Rhinelander with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Rhinelander ends the season (20-3).


Jacob Bamke led the Polar Bears with a game-high 27 Points.

Meanwhile, in Altona, Prentice had their season end in the Division 5 Sectional semifinals. The Buccaneers fell to undefeated Clayton 45-33. Prentice finishes the year at (16-10).

From May to September, A + P Enterprise, based near Stevens Point, puts on carnivals in Wisconsin. This weekend it's at the Langlade County Fair.

Micheal Mayville was originally charged with multiple counts of incest and second-degree sexual assault in two separate cases. Those assault charges were ultimately dismissed.
