Reinhardt, Johnson among D-1 Semifinalists Submitted: 02/22/2013

MADISON - Yesterday the State Individual wrestling championships in Madison got underway.

In the Division One 160 pound quarterfinals, Merrill's Mason Reinhardt earned a pin against Madison East. Reinhardt earned a spot in the semifinals.

Also wrestling in the semis, Rhinelander's Connor Johnson in the Division One 195 pound weight class.

Other results include, Medford's Eric Spencer reaching the quarterfinals in Division 2's 152 pounds. Carter Shampo reaching the D-3 quarterfinals at 132 pounds.

Woman drowns in Marathon CountySubmitted: 05/26/2015

EDGAR - Marathon County authorities say a woman has died from drowning in a pool in Edgar in central Wisconsin.

Lt. Tim Burkholder of the Marathon County Sheriff's Department says it happened some time after midnight Monday.

 While the investigation is ongoing, he says the drowning appears to be accidental.

 The department is withholding the victim's name and other details for now.

On Tuesday, members of the Wisconsin Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus introduced a bill that would allow hunters to wear blaze pink.
