YMCA Kids Make Links For Leanna Submitted: 02/18/2013
Story By Shardaa Gray

RHINELANDER - More than two thousand paper chain links help young kids remember a Rhinelander teen.

Students and staff at the the YMCA of the Northwoods Children Learning Center made the chain.

They made it in memory of Leanna Kossack, a 17 year old girl who passed away last month.

She died of a rare cancer.

The staff and kids made a yellow paper chain link for every 10 cents donated to the Leanna Kossack Sarcoma Foundation.

The center raised 260 dollars.

The paper chain is on display at the Learning Center.
