Deadly Snowmobile Crash in Northern Wis.Submitted: 02/09/2013

BELL - An Iowa man snowmobiling in northern Wisconsin died after he crashed into a tree.

The crash was reported Friday about 3 o'clock. It happened on a snowmobile trail in the town of Bell in Bayfield County.

Rescue officials say the man died on impact.

The DNR is investigating, but the sheriff's office said speed and alcohol appear to have been contributing factors.

The man's name hasn't been released.
