Chiropractor sees increase in injuries due to iceSubmitted: 01/29/2013

RHINELANDER - Tuesday's icy sidewalks can create dangerous walkways for people.

Some slips and falls can cause serious damage.

Dr. Earl Roth of Roth Family Chiropractic in Rhinelander says it's important to treat those injuries as soon as possible.

Slips and falls due to icy conditions have kept his clinic busy.

"Most commonly we see people with soft tissue injury, bruises, subluxation, and that results in pain and inflammation," said Dr. Roth.
Roth Family Chiropractic has different options for treating injuries.

If you do slip, seeking medical help is important.

"If something should happen to you whether it be a slip and fall or a small fender bender, do have it checked because often I see people who have let something go, an injury go, and by the time they come in, it's much more challenging to help them and it takes longer," said Dr. Roth.

To prevent accidents on the ice, Dr. Roth suggests walking on snow and wearing proper footwear.
