DNR Shares Plans to Spray Insecticide for Gypsy MothsSubmitted: 01/28/2013

DODGEVILLE - State wildlife officials will hold an open house on their plans to kill gypsy moth caterpillars in Governor Dodge State Park this spring.

The DNR plans to spray the caterpillars with an insecticide from a low-flying plane sometime between mid-May and early June.
The spray will cover 2-hundred 30 acres including beach and picnic areas.

If you'd like more information, The DNR is holding that open house at the Dodgeville service center Thursday morning.

MADISON - Senators are criticizing the release of an immigrant with a criminal record who allegedly went on to murder a woman in San Francisco last week. They said he should have been deported before the crime.

Republican Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, who chairs the Senate's homeland security committee, says it makes no sense that the man was released despite having a long criminal record and no legal status.
