Teenagers Arrested for Vacation Home Vandalism, Suspected in Eight Other BurglariesSubmitted: 01/25/2013
Story By Lyndsey Stemm

MONICO - Remember the Monico vacation home we showed you yesterday that was torn to shreds? Police have caught two Monico teenagers they think are responsible for that incredible act of vandalism.

Those two suspects are also believed to be responsible for eight other burglaries.

Tuesday night the Oneida County Sheriff's Office called the Wierzbicki family to tell them their home had been broken into and badly damaged.

Seventeen-year-old Anthony M. Briggs and a 15-year-old male are in jail today for that crime.

All nine burglaries happened in the Monico area between December 27th and January 22nd.

Tuesday night after they allegedly hit the Wierzbicki house, they moved on to another home on Neptune Lake Road. Investigators say a person walking their dog heard glass breaking and saw a car parked in the road. The person reported the license plate, which led Sheriff's Deputies to the suspects.

The Sheriff's Office expects to make more arrests in this investigation.
