Update: Wood Co. Shooting Victim in Critical ConditionSubmitted: 01/20/2013

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Last night we reported an apparent accidental shooting at a gun range in Wood County.

Tonight we can tell you the 25-year-old who was shot is is critical condition.

Police say Joseph Sammartino was shot in the back when his father was clearing his gun.

He was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital. Police are treating it as an accident, but the investigation is still pending.

The state Department of Natural Resources says the "County Road 601" wildfire was about 95 percent contained on Friday morning. Crews are heading out again.
