Northland Pines boys hockey shuts out HodagsSubmitted: 01/17/2013

EAGLE RIVER - In boys high school hockey, Rhinelander traveled to Eagle River. The Hodags faced Northland Pines - who is undefeated in Great Northern Conference Play. The Eagle showed why Thursday night.

Northland Pines shutout the Hodags 12-0. The Eagles did not allow a shot on goal in the first period. Wisconsinprephockey.com reports the Eagles out shot the Hodags 34-12 for the game.

Noah Weber scored two goals for the Eagle. Noah's brother Dylan had four assists. Zachery Kennedy also had two goals for Northland Pines.

Alex Kornely scored the opening goal late in the first period on the power play. Weber then scored his first goal, while falling down just a minute later.

Despite facing alot of shots, Rhinelander goalie Jake Arno held his own. He finished with 31 saves.
