Merrill wins Bluejay Challenge wrestling inviteSubmitted: 01/12/2013

MERRILL - In high school wrestling on Saturday, Merrill hosted the Bluejay Challenge. It was a 24-team invite.

120 pounds - Antigo's Kirk Prince vs. Oconto. He gets the take down, he won by major decision. Red Robins placed 22nd.

170 pounds, Wittenberg-Birnamanwood's Sam Bowers collects a pin against Barron. The Chargers finished second in the team competition.

106 pounds, Merrill's Justin Mondeik gets a pin against Crandon. As Merrill won their invite with 511.5 points.

VILAS COUNTY - The Vilas County Fair 4-H Club wants more people to set up exhibit booths in this year's event.

Fewer people have participated in the exhibit portion the last few years.

Last year, the fair board received 400 entries and 1,500 exhibits, numbers that are still lower than in past years.
