Camp 10 Ski Hill Opens for the SeasonSubmitted: 12/30/2012
Story By Lex Gray

RHINELANDER - After a slow start to the winter, skiers can finally hit the slopes.

Rhinelander's Camp 10 Ski Hill opened for the season this weekend.

Four-year-old Austin Ferracuti skiied Camp 10 for the first time ever this weekend.

"I think skiing down is the awesomest," he said.

Austin's family is from Illinois.

His older sister said Camp 10 is a little friendlier than other places she's skiied.

"I like it because it's nice and quiet and there's not so many people," she said. "Here, the people are really nice. They help you on the chairlift and they stop for you and it's good."

Manager Gren Rudd said he didn't advertise an opening date because of the odd December weather.

But he said turnout was good.
