Hunter Shot by Partner Near Superior Submitted: 11/20/2012
SUPERIOR - Wisconsin records another hunting related death, this time in the Superior area.

A man was accidentally shot and killed by his hunting partner in Douglas County.

Sheriff's officials say the shooting happened about 5 p.m. Monday in the town of Superior, a few miles east of the Wisconsin-Minnesota border.

Deputies and fire and rescue personnel used machinery to cut brush, and an all-terrain vehicle to get access to the victim in the woods.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name has not been released.

At least four hunters have died in the woods so far this deer season.

Two were shot, one fell from a tree stand, and one apparently died of a medical condition.
