MERRILL - Pat Kreitlow met with voters at the Lincoln County Democratic Headquarters in Merrill Sunday.

Wisconsin is a state that thrives on manufacturing, because of that, The 7th District Congressional Candidate said supporting small businesses is one of his top priorities.

"I believe tax relief should go to the middle class and to small businesses that create most of the jobs in northern Wisconsin. They should get credit when they hire workers or hire veterans or when they engage in research and development partnerships with a nearby tech college or university," Kreitlow said.

Dozens of people came to Sunday's event.

Talking with voters, Kreitlow said Medicare is one of their biggest concerns.

He criticized Republican Congressman Sean Duffy saying he wasn’t doing enough to ensure residents have affordable health care.

Kreitlow said, "They want to know what’s happening with Medicare. I let them know Congressman Duffy voted for a plan that would eventually turn Medicare into a voucher program and make seniors pay thousands more out of pocket."

Kreitlow said he’s disappointed with misleading advertisements from the Duffy campaign.

Over the next few weeks his campaign will be airing more ads clarifying their message.
