Rep. Duffy Energizing VotersSubmitted: 10/13/2012
Story By Newswatch 12

RHINELANDER - With only a few weeks left until the election, politicians are taking every opportunity to get their message to voters.

Rep. Duffy was in Rhinelander today to rally support at the Oneida County Republican Headquarters.

Rep.Tom Tiffany and 34th State Assembly Candidate Rob Swearingen were also in attendance.

The Republican candidates came out to support each other and energize residents to vote for their ideals November 6th.

"More bailouts more stimulus. More government, more regulations, it's more of the same. And we're coming out with a set of ideas that are based on American founding principles," said the 7th District Congressman.

Duffy was also in Wausau and Laona Saturday.

Talking with voters, he said the economy is their top priority.

Duffy said, "We voted for well over 20 jobs bills that I think are important. If passed, we'll get this economy moving. Over the past four years that's been very challenging. We've seen lack luster growth and that's had a huge impact on people in central and northern Wisconsin."

In addition to job creation, Duffy said he's dedicated to lowering gas prices by supporting the Keystone Pipeline which would bring oil in Canada to the U.S.

Duffy is running against Democrat Pat Kreitlow.

Kreitlow will be in the Northwoods Sunday and we'll have a full report on his congressional plan on 10 p.m. Sunday broadcast.
