Story By Associated Press

JUNCTION CITY - A burglar in Portage County thinks of the obituary page as a tip sheet.

Portage County investigators think a burglar in the Junction City area breaks into homes of people who died recently.

Authorities have linked some recent burglaries in the town of Carson and another in July to the same burglar.

In the latest crime, deputies say an obituary ran in the newspaper just one day before the burglary.

Portage County is also working with deputies in Wood and Marathon counties that may be tied to the same burglar.
