PARK RIDGE, ILL - The expanded Big Ten will place Ohio State and Michigan into different divisions. The conference announced its divisional breakdown Wednesday night, though neither division has been named. Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota and Northwestern will make up one division when the league grows to 12 teams in 2012. Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Purdue and Indiana are in the other.
Ohio State and Michigan will play each other every year on the last day of the Big Ten season, and could conceivably play each other twice in one season. Because they are in different divisions, the Buckeyes and Wolverines could play in the new Big Ten championship game. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)

TOMAHAWK - Tomahawk senior Kaitlin Doughty verbally committed to play volleyball at the next level.
The Hatchets outside hitter will take her talents to Division two Saint Cloud State next year on a full scholarship.
Doughty led Tomahawk to a 44-5 overall record last season as well as a trip to the state tournament in Green Bay. She will officially sign her letter of intent in November after the season ends and feels playing for the Huskies is the right fit.
"I have looked at a few different schools and I went there and I really loved it and they did offer me a full ride and yeah, that's another perk, says Tomahawk senior Kaitlin Doughty. "That was pretty nice but I really liked the school, I liked the coach. I like the players and the atmosphere. It's not too far from home so it's nice."

GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers will begin the regular season without two standouts in their secondary. The Packers have placed cornerback Al Harris and safety Atari Bigby on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, meaning neither player will be eligible to play for the first six weeks of the season.
Bigby had surgery on his left ankle at the beginning of training camp and was expected to begin the regular season on PUP. But there had been some hope Harris' surgically repaired left knee would heal in time for the Packers' Sept. 12 opener at Philadelphia.

MADISON - Wisconsin quarterback Scott Tolzien is a bit of a perfectionist.
It's a trait his teammates say serves them well and could help the 12th-ranked Badgers this season. Receiver Nick Toon says Tolzien won't be unprepared in crunch time on Saturdays, when they take on the likes of Ohio State and Iowa. Tolzien is a fifth-year senior. Last year, he threw for 2,705 yards with 16 TDs and 11 interceptions, leading Wisconsin to a 10-3 record and a win in the Champs Sports Bowl over Miami.
