Packers Defense Has Interesting Game Against the BearsSubmitted: 09/29/2014
CHICAGO - The Packers didn't need to bring the punt team to Chicago on Sunday. The team didn't punt once all game. That's a great sign for the offense. Aaron Rodgers can do that when he's playing well.

However, it was a tough yardage day for the defense.

Green Bay couldn't stop the Bears from moving the ball up and down the field. The Packers defense didn't give up a point in the second half. But they did still give up 496 yards.

"As far as yardage output we were not very happy but fortunately for them yards don't win games points do," said Julius Peppers, a linebacker for the Packers. "We were able to hold them to 17 and we got the take a ways that we needed."

The Packers held wide receiver Brandon Marshall to two receptions and they also intercepted Jay Cutler twice. That was the scenario they were hoping for going into Sunday.

"You know it's just the nature of the business, great players are going to be talked about, especially offensively. Just the way it is made in this league," said Tramon Williams, cornerback for the Packers. "We got to make our stand when the time comes and we did today."

The Packers will play the Vikings on Thursday.
