- One of Bernie Sanders's biggest supporters in Wisconsin understands why some delegates are not happy with the message the Vermont senator is sending at the Democratic National Convention.
Wisconsin delegate Peter Rickman was in the room Monday for Sanders's speech to his delegates in which he urged them to support Hillary Clinton. That message led to booing from some Sanders supporters.
Rickman says that wasn't the reaction Sanders was looking for, but "I don't know if it could have gone any differently."
Rickman is backing Clinton and says electing her over Republican Donald Trump is the only way to ensure that the policies Sanders campaigned on will have any chance of getting enacted.
He says most Sanders delegates understand that, but convincing the others is an "organizing challenge."
