Fatal car wreck in Portage CountySubmitted: 04/29/2017
PORTAGE COUNTY - A man died in a car crash early Saturday morning in Portage County.

The driver was a 33-year-old man who suffered severe trauma and died at the scene according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.

There were no passengers in the vehicle. The car crashed off North Second Drive in the Town of Hull.

Preliminary reports say the driver's car went into a ditch, through a yard, and eventually flipped and landed on its roof.

The Sheriff's department says it appears excessive speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
