MILWAUKEE - Vice President Mike Pence plans to talk about the Republican tax overhaul during a visit to Milwaukee Wednesday afternoon.

The event is sponsored by a group created to promote President Donald Trump's policies.

Governor Scott Walker will also participate in the forum.

Later, Pence will headline an evening fundraiser for Walker.

Pence has been traveling the country hosting similar events to promote the tax changes.

WAUPUN - The remains of an unidentified woman found in a frozen creek in Fond du Lac County nearly 10 years ago will be exhumed this week at a cemetery in Waupun.

Sheriff's officials say forensic anthropologists will examine the remains of "Jane Doe" using techniques that weren't available when her body was found. Through chemical isotope analysis, investigators may learn where the woman lived and her approximate age. DNA testing can determine eye, skin and hair color, as well as genetic ancestry and face shape.

NASHVILLE, TN - A federal official says the father of the man suspected of fatally shooting four at a Nashville Waffle House could face charges for returning guns that were taken from him after an incident last year at the White House.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Special Agent Marcus Watson said at a news conference Monday that Jeffrey Reinking's act of returning the guns to his son is "potentially a violation of federal law."

TORONTO - A Toronto police official says nine people have been killed and 16 injured from a van that jumped onto a sidewalk and struck pedestrians in the north part of the city.

Deputy Police Chief Peter Yuen says the driver of the van is in custody but Yuen has not provided any possible cause or motive in Monday's incident. He says the investigation is continuing.

MADISON (AP) - A former driver for House Speaker Paul Ryan who has been active in Wisconsin Republican politics for years is running to succeed Ryan in Congress.

Bryan Steil is an attorney from Ryan's hometown of Janesville and a member of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents. He becomes the likely Republican front-runner after the field of better-known potential candidates cleared for his entry.

Steil entered the race Sunday less than two weeks after Ryan said he would not seek re-election. Ryan said Friday he has no immediate plans to endorse in the primary.
