- Wisconsin's open records laws will get some discussion.
Just a few weeks ago, changes slipped into the state budget were removed after a strong public outcry.
Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel is hosting an open government summit this week.
Schimel wants to update the state's open records law for the first time since 1981.
He thinks the law needs to better reflect the use of modern technology.
The president of the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council thinks the law can be improved.
Still he has concerns because of the move made in the Legislature earlier this month to gut the law.
