Lac du Flambeau tribe to elect a new president Submitted: 09/03/2014
Lac du Flambeau - The Lac du Flambeau tribe will see a change in leadership.

Yesterday, voters in Lac Du Flambeau turned out for the 2014 Tribal Primary Elections.

Current tribal president Tom Maulson finished third in the president's primary, and did not advance.

For president, Henry "Butch" St. Germaine will face Joseph Wildcat.

Mike Allen and Melissa Christensen will be on the ballot for vice president.

Jamie Allen, Racquel Bell, Jereome Big John, Chuck Burgess, Carl Edwards, John Johnson, Frank Mitchell, and Melinda Young will all be on the ballot as potential council members.

The Lac Du Flambeau general election takes place Tuesday, October 7, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

It will be held at the William Wildcat Community Center.
