Republicans in Assembly want former majority leader to quit Submitted: 04/04/2014
Madison - Republicans in the Assembly want their former majority leader to quit.

Representative Bill Kramer will be getting a letter demanding his resignation.

Speaker Robin Vos's office issued a statement late Thursday following a meeting with GOP leaders to discuss Kramer.

That's after he was charged last week with two felony counts of sexual assault. Kramer has already been removed as majority leader following separate accusations of sexual harassment.

The statement released Thursday says Kramer has also been stripped of his committee assignments.

The Assembly adjourned for the year last month.

Kramer has said he won't run for re-election in November.
