Numbers down for deer hunting opening weekend Submitted: 11/24/2013
ANTIGO - Opening weekend of deer hunting is in the books. As was expected the initial deer totals in several counties in the Northwoods are slightly below last year's totals. The harsh spring suffered earlier this year, plus cold temperatures among the factors for the limited success. 14-year old Ally Hetto of Appleton was hunting with her dad on property the family owns in the Deerbrook area. Ally shot her first buck a four-pointer. We'll have more on opening weekend in Wednesday night's "Northwoods Spotlight," on Newswatch 12 at 10pm.
