New proposal could limit WI Supreme Court Justice terms Submitted: 07/08/2013
Madison - A new proposal will limit state Supreme Court justices to a single term if passed. A task force is recommending limiting justices to a single 16-year term. This is a way to limit the flow of money into judicial elections. Sixteen years is about the average length justices have served. If passed, Wisconsin would be the only state in the nation to limit state Supreme Court terms.
