Inaugural Northland Pines fundraiser a big success Submitted: 06/22/2013
Eagle River - The cost of sports equipment keeps rising. In order to make sure student athletes stay safe, it's important to make upgrades often. So where does that money come from? Today the Northland Pines football program hosted their first ever golf tournament fundraiser. 80 golfers hit the links in Eagle River to compete in the scramble. It was a huge success, bringing in close to $10,000. 75 percent of that is going to football and the other 25 will go to the booster club. The Pines coaches were thrilled with the result and are happy to be able to provide new equipment for their players.
