U.P. woman who pointed gun at police shot dead Submitted: 04/05/2013
Humboldt Township, MI - Police shot and killed a 50-year-old Upper Peninsula woman last night.

They were responding to a domestic dispute call in the Humboldt Township - that about 25 miles due north of Iron Mountain.

Lori Lee Lee came out with a rifle when police arrived. Police say Lee pointed the rifle at officers and wouldn't lower it.

A trooper shot Lee once in the chest.

A Michigan State Police trooper and a Marquette County Sheriff's Deputy were both placed on leave pending the investigation.
